Museum Rendezvous: Andy Warhol in Southeast Asia

Museum Rendezvous aims to engage the audiences of the ArtScience Museum in a dialogue reflecting the crossings between Art and Science. Museum Rendez-Vous: will explore the theme “Andy Warhol in Southeast Asia” in response to the current AndyWarhol: 15 Minutes Eternal exhibition.

Panelist comprise of Lise Macdonald, Senior Project Manager at the ArtScience Museum; Jane Allan, Dean of Faculty for the Creative Industries, LASALLE College of the Arts; and Singaporean artist, JahanLoh.

Audiences will have the opportunity to get an inside story from the Senior Project Manager of the ArtScience Museum about the making of the Andy Warhol exhibition and the parallel exhibition on the pop artist’s influence in Southeast Asia.

Art historian, Allan, who steered jointly with the ArtScience Museum, the art competition for aspiring artists from LASALLE will give an insight to the process of selection undertaken by the curatorial team in search for the new breed of pop icons.

To offer a creative perspective, Singaporean bred Jalan Loh will tell us more about Andy Warhol’s influence on his works and what is it with Ma Ling that attracted his artistic instincts.
